Grey Nex
Grey Nex, also known as. Meri Knowlton is the owner and head trainer of Grey Matter Dog Training. He has been training dogs since 2016, training service dogs since 2018, and started working on behavioral cases in 2021. Grey graduated from Animal Behavior College in 2023 and has taken courses from The Association of Professional Dog Trainers andCooperative Paws with more on the way!
Thalia "Luck Of The Heart"
Thalia is Grey's service dog in training. She performs medical alert, medical response, psychiatric, and mobility tasks. She helps in You Help Me I Help You sessions. She has earned her CGC, CGCA, and Trick Dog Novice
Our Training Methods
At Grey Matter Dog Training, we believe in the power of positive reinforcement to help you and your pup reach your goals. We use the LIMA approach, which stands for Least Invasive Minimally Aversive, to create a safe and supportive training environment. This means that we use rewards-based training and the Humane Hierarchy model to support you and your pup in learning new behaviors. We also take into consideration the individual needs of each pup, so that we can create the best plan for success.
We do not utilize prong collars, e-collars, slip leads, head halters or any other averive tools in our training.
